Job Description

Key Accountabilities (External)

  • Follow a predetermine schedule of preventive maintenance and perform periodic maintenance of control switches, switchgears along with other equipment
  • Read schematic diagram, equipment manuals, wiring engineering and diagram instruction for assembling units and to carry out maintenance work.
  • Replace defective or functioning circuitry and electronics components improperly, utilizing the necessary tools.
  • Record data before history record for the changes manufactured in the electronic circuit, electronic, control or mechanical components, the spare parts used and the modification manufactured in the machines.
  • Prepare requisition for procurement of spare parts from the stores and keep maintaining relevant inventory document.
  • Devise, fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components for products such as for example industrial equipment or machinery.
  • Inform the Supervisor well beforehand about spare parts needed especially from overseas suppliers and follow-up.
  • Provide information to the team employed in the next shift regarding pending and accomplished jobs for your day.
  • Ensure proper and safe using power tools while undertaking repairs, keep the workshop clear before/ after or middle of the work according to the prescribe safety standard.
  • Ensure that all of the assignment is completed regularly through the use of necessary Personal Protective Equipment’s (PPE’s) so when per the set safety norms.
  • Assisting in the implementations and development of the maintenance management systems.
  • Record test outcomes and procedures, graphical and numerical data, and tips for changes on a log checklist or sheet.
  • Maintain working understanding of the brand new machines to be installed by reading the installation manual and prepare necessary documents necessary for installation.
  • Apply the product quality Policy and Quality System established relative to ISO 9001:2000 International Standards and execute his/her responsibility based on the department work procedures reflecting EKFC Quality Policy

Skills

Essential Requirements and Competencies

  • Technical certification in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience employed in mechanical repairs for Catering equipment.
  • High standards of verbal and communication skills in English
  • Capability to work under pressure to meet up targets and achieve results
  • Strong planning and organisational skills having the ability to multi task and manage time effectively.
  • Capability to action random requests as directed by the manager.

  • Previous experience in hospitality industry
  • Advanced of commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability to improve.
  • A team player with a proactive approach and the capability to problem solve
