The Biomedical Senior Engineer is in charge of managing the day-to-day activities of the biomedical engineering medical equipment support services department. The Senior Engineer shall make sure that the Biomedical activities are given efficiently and effectively in accordance with best international standards following approved policies and procedures. work as a primary administrative connection with your client departments •, suppliers, distributors and agents with regards to medical equipment support services. • Coordinate activities of Biomedical Equipment Management & Maintenance through the entire hospital, including asset inventory, maintenance, repair, calibration, safety testing, replacement, upgrading and hazard recall actions. • Ensure the maintenance and development of management systems and the delegation of appropriate resources, as required. • To utilize members of the senior clinicians and Executive team to formulate and ensure delivery of a healthcare facility corporate strategies and strategic plans. • Delegate tasks to biomedical engineering personnel as appropriate with their level of knowledge, abilities and skills, offering support and guidance accordingly • participate and represent the Biomedical Department in a variety of committees Actively. • Use the F.M. & C.O.O. to build up the biomedical engineering service standards and ensure they’re delivered. acting as a job model •, the position holder will be expected to deliver powerful standards and support the Revenue team. • Collaborate with all degrees of interdisciplinary teams, executive officers along with other stakeholders in the development, implementation, evaluation of programs & services. • Oversee operations of the Biomedical Engineering department, set objectives and goals, and design a framework and detailed scheduling to attain service standard KPIs, including management of regimes, spare parts & consumable items. Provide direction and advice to departmental staff readily. • Review, audit, and take part in decision support activities linked to problem diagnosis, repair, preventative quality and maintenance assurance of patient related equipment. • Planning and supervising the day-to-day activities of the section; streamlining processes whenever we can. • Understand and communicate Policies, Work and procedures Instructions. • Develop the required training of personnel across all locations for subordinates to get the skill level to use and keep maintaining the medical devices. • Produce monthly report on the corrective maintenance with recommendations. • Perform audit on the corrective maintenance for several medical devices under (Medical Equipment Maintenance Plan) MEMP. • Monitor work performed by outside contractors to make sure requirements are met and email address details are documented properly. • In charge of repairing or servicing more technical equipment. • Schedule device maintenance activities to minimise physical and clinical risk, in line with the established criteria and (Medical Equipment Management Plan) MEMP • n conjunction with a healthcare facility Management team, make sure that major incident, business emergency and continuity planning arrangements are in-place, understood and practiced because they relate with operational service robustness. • Develop Preventive Maintenance procedures for several medical devices in a healthcare facility. • Implement Maintenance Approaches for all medical devices under (Medical Equipment Management Plan) MEMP. • Means that all Preventive Maintenance is completed, according to statutory, OEM specifications, or international best practice. • Perform audits on the Preventive Maintenance for several medical devices under (Medical Equipment Management Plan) MEMP. • Provides are accountable to Senior Management frequently on the PM performance. • Monitor the inventory of biomedical equipment parts and stand-by equipment to make sure minimum disruption of patient care. • Use department head/Managers on projects linked to equipment acquisition, installation, renovation, removal or modification. • Validate the efficiency and effectiveness of the operational processes, both and externally and implement improvement processes internally; as required. • Evaluate elements linked to safety, outcomes, performance, cost and social impact when implementing and developing practice innovations. • Participate on different committees, related to products and organisational operation. • Take part in projects, equipment, policy and staff decisions that affect staff care. • Manage the performance of others and self and continue personal professional development through CPD, training and education
- Hospital experience is really a * BSc must. or Graduate degree in Biomedical /Electronic Engineering or equivalent program • Competent computer skills. • Certificates of attendance showing formal training from the gear manufacturers or independent training centers. • Professional Memberships • Having the very least eight (5) years of professional experience inside a major healthcare company or division of a big healthcare corporation with at the least three years Senior experience. • International accreditation experience.
