Restaurant Associates extends 10-year partnership at Edinburgh Zoo

Restaurant Associates has secured a three-year contract extension with the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s Edinburgh Zoo.

The premium food and guest services company happens to be celebrating 10 years because the wildlife conversation charity’s partner for the provision of catering and hospitality services for weddings, conferences, meetings, team development and charity events, along with the Grasslands Restaurant and two cafes for visitors.

The brand new three-year contract shall continue steadily to start to see the partnership align with the core ethos of the Zoo, with exciting, innovative, and sustainable hospitality choices for guests to enjoy. Central to the offering is really a giraffe-themed refreshments menu, which celebrates the arrival of five new giraffes at Edinburgh Zoo.

Fun, forward-thinking additions are the launch of ‘girafternoon tea’, featuring sandwiches, giraffe and scones shortbread and cupcakes; smoothies; and the beautiful Giraffe Cafe to the giraffe enclosure close, bringing a new refreshments stop. The theme is supported by the introduction of hydroponics in the Grasslands restaurant further, that will grow cress for wheatgrass and sandwiches for smoothies, promoting nutrition and sustainability while taking inspiration from the dietary plan of the giraffes themselves.
