Landscaping Manager – 4 Month Contract – J10 Consulting FZ LLE – Dubai

Our Semi Governmental client includes a new requirement of a properly experienced, Landscaping Supervisor to join their group in Dubai, UAE. Prosperous candidates will have a successful history as a Landscaping Supervisor for an FM COMPANY or Consultancy business on large scale tasks and contracts, ideally encounter in Major Activities or similar tasks in the UAE / GCC.

This role can be acquired for instant joining and will be for a short 4 month fixed expression contract being an outsourced worker through J10 Consulting.

Key Duties:

  • In charge of providing strategic operational insight based on the style and preparing of the Scenery elements, through to the function delivery of the entire Site Management Functional Region Operating Program (FAOP) and making certain the Landscaping PROVIDERS align with the FAOP;
  • Collaborate with other company departments, such as PROPERTY and Shipping (RE&D) and the Program Administration Consultant (PMC) to spotlight an integrated planning method for the handover and acceptance of Scenery resources.
  • Provide practical suggestions to the Landscape Style Experts regarding plant species choice, irrigation schedules and proposed soil mixes.
  • Ensure alignment with PROPERTY and Shipping (RE&D) and Experts for Asset Handover technique and execution highlighting gaps within Defect Liability Time period (DLP) and warranty intervals where applicable
  • Consistent with, also to support EXPO 2020’s corporate Safe practices Policy make sure that all factors of Safe practices responsibilities are usually delivered by all Functions Support Assistance (OSP) direct workers and contractor workers
  • Ensure COMPANY compliance to approved secure working practices Business lead the Operations Support Program (OSP) Landscaping group to make sure equipment supply, procedure and delivery of functions meet the requirements of the functional region and managed providers
  • Ensure the growth and on boarding, maintaining and recruiting teams, building capability within people, training and training
  • Lead the group and proficiently responsibly, providing effective line management to direct reports
  • Set objectives and evaluate performance of individual direct reports and actively manage key personnel issues
  • Make sure that all staff find the required skills and knowledge through appropriate learning and development programs
  • Become SUBJECT MATERIAL Expert across design reviews and strategy consultancy for several landscaping activities
  • Making certain all company policies and procedures are honored, specifically to add all responsibilities and accountabilities linked to the Safe practices Policy and assurance standards
  • Make sure that Procurement for your section of responsibility is on target and delivered contrary to the critical path.
  • Are accountable to the Director – Operations Help Services and undertake EXPO wide duties as could be reasonably requested
  • Oversee the development of the short-term and medium term working plans for the Operations Help Service (OSP) Functional Area, to add people, procurement, service and budgeting delivery;
  • Become the center point for the entire Landscape scheme and offer input for the Operations Help Service (OSP) Functional Area in to the ongoing development of the ‘Concept of Operations’ and Functional Area Working Plans
  • Get the lead for the delivery of Horticultural services for several Event Operations possessed and managed locations within the website and successfully implement effective management over the functional areas
  • Manage the look and delivery of the handover for the landscaping and irrigation assets, which includes management of the irrigation schedule and maintenance program
  • Manage the look and delivery of the occupational safe practices for the operational period and use PROPERTY and Delivery to guarantee a seamless transition to operations
  • Consider the lead with the wider Expo teams to aid with the development of the plans for installation overlay and to decrease clashes and damages to Landscaped areas
  • Integrate with other Event Operations Functional Areas to plan for the ongoing management of the site during operations e.g. maintenance of the venues, logging of issues and tracking of resolutions

Landscaping Manager Experience:

  • University/college degree in a associated discipline
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience, 2 yrs which were in an identical role working inside a highly dynamic and complicated environment, with specific experience associated to building effective Horticultural services across a large development/community.
  • Knowledge across key operational functions with the ability to demonstrate an knowing of the Site Management dependencies in conjunction with the operational functions and non-operational directorates.
  • Experience in operating in a multi-cultural organisation, GCC region desirable
  • Excellent verbal and created communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in controlling a large departmental program
  • Experience in overseeing an on-site plant nursery
  • Experience in handling service providers in a high profile development
  • Experience in functioning with senior level Government partners and multi-agency stakeholders
  • Knowledge of previous Mega event operations
  • An knowing of Landscape contractors in the UAE/Dubai will be an asset
  • Ability to develop a network across the project teams and key external stakeholders
  • Communicates well and consistently from Director/executive level down to large teams of workforce e.g. volunteers
  • Ability to collaborate and integrate well with other business functions
  • Skilled project manager, methodical thinker, with superior guest service focus and excellent composed and verbal communication skills
