Campus Physical Development Manager – Zayed University – Abu Dhabi

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, CPDO, the incumbent will business lead and manage theCPDO united team to meet up operating goals of the division in Abu Dhabicampus.The successful candidate provides overall administrativemanagement and coordination of a number of projects linked to the newcampus in Abu Dhabi. Supervising and preparing will undoubtedly be key roles playedas the Supervisor of the department.

The Responsibilities

Managing Functions in Abu Dhabi Campus

  • Provides administration and leadership for thefacilities functions of the Abu Dhabi campus and relatedsites. These responsibilities consist of planningsupport,supervision,project administration of contracts.
  • Qualified prospects and manages the day-to-day procedures ofCPD Abu Dhabi and the amenities management providers provided byexternal services suppliers.
  • Prepares information related tofacilities such as for example space inventory, and appropriate suggestionsand suggestions to aid management decision-making.
  • Manages everyday operationalbusiness and administrative linked to the department; making certain standards and level of work from FM business are met forquality.

  • Project Management

  • Provides Task administration and supervisionwithin the Campus Actual physical Development Office for different Universityprojects in a specialist manner.
  • Conducts risk management on various applications orinitiatives, as required.
  • Prepares task initialdrawings and specs where possible, and discusses the task withconsultants,architects and contractors.
  • Prepares reviews on improvement and recommendschanges in campus growth plans, project position and budget status.
  • Prepares invitations to tender for variousprojects

  • Meets customers of services from variousdepartments for exchanging concepts and understanding their requirements andrequirements before preparing last plans for just about any project.
  • Liaises and assistance to the variouscampus departments for shipping and preparing of university activities andprograms.
  • Generating and Sustaining Procedures and Policies

  • Prepare plans, proposals, plans andprocedures for CPD functions in Abu Dhabi campus in tandem withthe CPD director.
  • Establishes treatments for conversation andcoordination with task constituencies.
  • Utilizes appropriate computer applications forpresentation of planning techniques.
  • Building efficient interactions and externally internally

  • Builds relationships atappropriate ranges with ZU neighborhood and service providers.
  • Acts because the major administrative liaison withusers of Abu Dhabi campus amenities, which includes academicunits,administrative departments and pupil organizations
  • Other Responsibilities

  • Manages the outcome of a number of committeesincluding Facilities Management & Communication.
  • Represents CPD Director at weekly Abu Dhabileadership meetings.
  • Carries out any project or assignmentrelated to the positioning as required every once in awhile.
  • Work is conducted under general direction ofthe CPDO Director and is reviewed against target outcomes and quality ofrelationships/partnerships established.
  • Is independent in daily management.MeetsCPD management to contribute ideas and suggestions and aids decision-making frequently.
  • Within broad management guidance by DirectorCPDO, the incumbent will undoubtedly be given significant latitude to effectivelymanage all areas of CPD management at Abu Dhabi campusincluding,Building contacts at appropriate level in Zayed University andrepresenting CPDO services and programs; and collaborating with variouscommittees frequently to make sure clear and open commitment and communication.
  • The effectiveness and quality of the contactswill have a direct impact on the success of any projects.
  • Regular interaction with Campus PhysicalDevelopment Office, Purchasing, suppliers, contractorson and consultants new and ongoing projects.
  • Close connection with all Campus PhysicalDevelopment Office associates.

  • Master’s degree in Project Management orEngineering from a certified institution and at the least a decade ofexperience in the regions of project management, facilities management oran equivalent mix of education, experience or skill
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skillsto connect to a diverse selection of individuals
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Conversant in deploying it applications, MS Project.
  • Business experience in the UAE a secured asset.
  • Excellent project management, planning andorganizational skills.
  • Strategic thinker and proven experience leadinga team.
  • Commercial ability and acumen to assemble andanalyze market data.
  • Preferred Requirements

  • Experience employed in an academic environment.
