Facilities management provider 14forty, owned by Compass Group UK & Ireland, has been awarded a £15 million total facilities management (TFM) contract with Cadent Gas to supply soft and hard services across a lot more than 70 UK sites over a three-year term.
Cadent is the UK’s largest gas distribution network. A network is managed because of it greater than 80,000 miles of pipe, most of it underground, which transports gas to 11 million customers approximately.
14forty has worked for Cadent since 2016, but only supplied soft FM services previously, such as reception, catering, security and cleaning. Under the new agreement, 14forty will serve 15 large office premises and a variety of critical supply depots for Cadent’s gas engineers, who maintain, replace and repair piping and react to emergency callouts.
Mauro Ortelli, 14forty’s Managing Director commented: “We’ve worked hard during the last five years to win the client’s trust and build a fantastic working relationship. So, when our original contract was due for renewal we incorporated hard FM services, which relate with physical building structures, into our provision. Previously, we were holding undertaken by another ongoing company, however the client loved our proposal and gave us the ongoing work.”
Beneath the hard FM provision of its new contract, 14forty will maintain, repair and service all hard service lines including heating, ventilation, air-con, power generation, CCTV along with other site safety systems at all Cadent’s UK sites.
In addition, the ongoing company will continue steadily to provide soft FM services, in addition to manage contractors for components of service delivery to your client from potholes and pest control to random cleaning requests.
Ortelli added: “We have a dedicated Cadent team that includes managers responsible for performance, technical services and individual UK regions, plus 200 operatives on the floor who deliver the task nearly.
